Our design team is looking for another steady set of hands on install days - helping us deliver and install container plantings in homes, offices, hotels, and restaurants all over Austin.
During our busy seasons (March through June, then October to mid-December), we guarantee you two paid days a week. 9am to 3pm, $24/hr. Those two days will fall somewhere Tuesday through Thursday and we'll tell you which ones by the Friday before. If a job cancels after we've scheduled you, you still get paid. That's the point - if we want you to be dependable for us, we want the pay to be dependable for you. Rest of the year there's no guarantee, but you're our first call when work comes up, and it does come up.
The work itself: loading the van, moving pots and plants, installing alongside our designers. Some of it is genuinely heavy - we've got dollies and ramps for the big stuff and it's always the team lifting things together. Some days you'd run around town helping our plant care crew with the heavy parts of their jobs - moving a pot from here to there, helping them refresh clients' plants. We reimburse mileage if we ever ask you to drive between job sites. You don't need to know anything about plants. You just need to show up when you say you will and care that the job looks good when we leave.
This is a real W-2 job with a real paycheck, not a 1099 Venmo thing.
Who this fits: anybody with a couple open weekdays and a strong back. Students with light class days, people who work nights or weekends, semi-retired, between things - if you're generally free Tuesday through Thursday during the day, that's what we need.
